Updated desktop app released: Individual measurements of gigabit connections now possible

An updated version of the desktop app, which is part of the broadband measurement, was released today. The desktop app can be now used as well for individual measurements to determine the performance of the internet access and check the data transmission speed contractually agreed with the provider. The individual measurement works equally well for all types of connections, i.e. for connections with low data transmission speeds through to gigabit connections.

If the individual measurement indicates a breach of the download speed contractually agreed with the provider, users can proceed to the verification procedure in the desktop app. As part of a measurement campaign, the verification procedure carries out a minimum of 20 measurements.. Customers can present the final measurement report to the provider to support their case.

The browser measurement has now been simplified and can measure actual data transmission speeds, when using the browser. This allows users to test performance while surfing the Internet.
