Looking into the heart of the networks

<span lang="en-GB">DSL or cable connection, premium or low-cost provider, nationwide or regional operators - who offers the best broadband connection?</span>

<span lang="en-GB">We wanted to find out exactly what’s what. So this year too, together with its network partner</span><span lang="en-GB"> zafaco</span><span lang="en-GB">, connect examined the performance of the providers in Germany’s </span><span lang="en-GB">most elaborate</span><span lang="en-GB"> landline test – and that for the fifth time. For this, the zafaco test computer set up around</span><span lang="en-GB"> 1.6 million</span><span lang="en-GB"> test connections in </span><span lang="en-GB">four weeks at 34 locations</span><span lang="en-GB">.</span>

<span lang="en-GB">Good news: almost all candidates were able to improve against the previous year. Although in detail there is plenty to criticise: the large network expansion initiatives are popular with customers. This is good news.  </span>
