This year, we are supporting the ELEPHANT PARADE project with our annual donation. The ELEPHANT PARADE is a charity project in Thailand, founded and operated by the Dutchman Mike Spits, who has set himself the task of running annual parades around the world to draw attention to the plight of these imposing animals.
During a Thailand holiday, Marc Spits and his son Mike met Mosha, an Asian baby elephant who had lost a leg due to a landmine. Marc and Mike Spits decided to help Mosha and her relatives.
In collaboration with the ELEPHANT FAMILY foundation (http://elephant-family.org/), Spits raises money through auctions at the individual parades, as well as by selling the smaller models to support aid projects throughout Asia.
