That’s Swahili for “Thank you and Merry Christmas”.
All around us, the candles on the Christmas trees are lit and children’s eyes are shining, the Christmas markets smell of roasted almonds and at home, the Christmas biscuits await us. The anticipation of the most wonderful time of the year is spreading. We, the management and staff of zafaco GmbH, look back with thanks on a successful 2015.
In the past twelve months we have been able to process a variety of projects and develop and implement new ideas with you, our customers and business partners. For this and for the constantly excellent cooperation, we would like to thank you most sincerely.
This year, in view of the crises in the world, we have once again realised how lucky we are. We have therefore decided to go without Christmas cards and Christmas presents and instead to sponsor one of the children supported by the Hubert & Renate Schwarz Foundation at the Massai College, the new school near Arusha. With our financial support, we enable our sponsored child Einote Loyciritore to undertake a three-year education at the Massai College aimed at university admission.
The Hubert & Renate Schwarz Foundation bought a piece of land outside of Arusha in order to build a new school there. Extreme weather conditions, poor infrastructure and the difficulties of obtaining building materials demanded a lot of strength and creativity. In July 2015, the Maasai College started its work as a school! All the obstacles are overcome, and the project has received state approval for the college. 17 young people started their three-year education in order to receive university admission. Especially young girls are to be given access to education and thus be spared from forced marriage.
