Description:

In July 2018, BEREC (Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications) (https://net-neutrality.tools) awarded a contract to develop, implement and validate the Net Neutrality (NN) Reference Measurement System.

In addition to implementing the measurement system, comprehensive support for system architecture, software, maintenance as well as consulting was also agreed on.

The system facilitates monitoring Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) of Internet Access Services (IAS) as well as aspects of traffic management, and serves as a reference for regulating authorities. The award of this contract is a further milestone in the drive to harmonise and standardise broadband across Europe.

Description:

The end customer measurement system should put end users in a position to measure and evaluate the efficiency of their fixed and mobile Internet access services, independently of provider and technology. This involved developing an easy-to-use measurement concept, which provides both the end users and the internet service provider with reliable results. In addition, it enables end users to compare the performance and reliability of the provided services and, if applicable, make decisions about changing provider.

Developing and operating a customer-focused end-to-end measurement system for measuring the network quality in the network of DB Systel and Deutsche Bahn AG.

Description:

The end-to-end (E2E) measurement system is used for collecting availability and performance measurement data of internet services and different digital services in the network of DB Systel and Deutsche Bahn AG. The collected data for DB Systel GmbH and Deutsche Bahn AG are intended to supplement the existing monitoring of the hardware with real customer perception and to provide a better understanding of customer satisfaction.

On-going benchmark for the measurable QoS parameters of convergent networks

Description:

As part of an on-going benchmark, zafaco offers its customers a platform for reviewing measurable QoS parameters and thus for securing and optimising quality aspects in convergent networks.

The basis of this platform is the continually growing NGN benchmark database with the quality KPIs of the leading DSL, cable, wireless and VoIP providers. The results provided by zafaco enables its customers to sustainably improve their products and services on a long-term basis. This enhances customer satisfaction which in turn leads to a sustainable increase in corporate value.
